Over £60,000 per year has been raised during the last 6 years!
The Rotary Club of Church & Oswaldtwistle has been organising this annual walk for the last 7 years. It aims to encourage members of the community to select a charity or worthwhile cause and to raise money for that charity by getting friends to sponsor them.
A circular route of approximately 7 miles starting and finishing at Junction 7 Business Estate, Clayton-le-Moors opposite the entrance to the Dunkenhalgh hotel. Walking at a steady pace this should take you no longer than 3 hours to complete. An easy route, following the banks of the Leeds Liverpool canal and later a disused railway track.
The walk starts between 9.30 am and 10 am.There is ample car parking and rotary stewards will be on duty throughout the day to provide encouragement and support for walkers. For full details download the information sheet and route map on the right.
The registration fee is £5 per person but accompanied children under 12 years old walk free, although they should still be registered.
